I love the idea of magical candies giving an ordinary girl power over the elements.This graphic novel is filled with fantastic illustrations that tell a story of their own. So much time must have gone into these illustrations and they enhanced my reading experience. The scenes really did come to life - even as an eBook. I felt as though I was reading a girlie version of a comic book and I loved it.Halo, the eleven-year-old girl who inherits the sugar powers, uses her powers for good. There is a clear message of good vs evil, just like the classic super heroes.
