Could not assemble to shaft end of pedal without cracking this component's plastic. Attempted only one time, might have work if it wasn't cracked. The function of these contacts is proportional to the wear on the tread of the sole of the "Road" shoe, and even more pronounced if the shoes are Mountain bike shoes such as the protruding "Sole Treads" of that type of shoe eroding away while biker is walking.
